Status Notice

The Center for AI and Future Society is currently in its establishment phase. It is expected to become fully operational in 2025. Researchers interested in affiliating with the Center may express interest through the fellowship application process.

About the Center

The Center for AI and Future Society will be Panorama Research Institute's fourth research center, addressing one of the most urgent and multifaceted research agendas of the present decade: the governance, ethics, and social consequences of artificial intelligence.

The Center will examine AI not only as a technology but as a social, epistemic, and political phenomenon — one that reshapes knowledge production, alters labor markets, challenges governance frameworks, and raises fundamental questions about agency, accountability, and human futures.

A particular focus of the Center will be the implications of AI for scholarly communication and research practice — including AI-generated content in academic publishing, AI-assisted peer review, the use of large language models in research, and the governance challenges these developments create.
